Fire crews battled a large fire spread across multiple industrial units near Dartford last night
Fire crews battled a large fire near Dartford for over eight hours last night after multiple industrial building were found alight.
Kent Fire and Rescue and Kent Police were both called to Horton Kirby near Dartford around 8:40pm last night (September 30) after reports of a commercial premise alight.
They arrived to find the fire had spread across multiple industrial units, and battled the blaze until nearly 6am this morning.
It is believed the fire started in Lombard Street, Horton Kirby, likely Oakview Stud Farm.
Reports from local residents on social media described thick smoke.
Six fire engines and a bulk water carrier were used to extinguish the fire and no casualties were reported.
Kent Police were also in attendance, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
