As coronavirus cases rise nationwide and a second wave of coronavirus seemingly grips the country, and cases rise, a number of schools have been hit by the virus.
We've compiled a list of all the schools in south east London to have confirmed cases of the virus since they reopened earlier this month.
The list is no exhaustive, and is based on cases that we have been alerted to and have been confirmed.
Plumstead Manor School
A member of staff at Plumstead Manor tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this month.
The staff member immediately self-isolated after developing symptoms, and has since been tested.
The school said only those who had been in close contact with the staff member would have to self-isolate, all of which have been contacted separately.
A deep clean was also carried out in the affected areas of the school, and the situation continues to be monitored by the school and PHE.
Wilmington Grammar School for Girls
The Dartford grammar school has instructed 147 pupils in year 11 to stay at home for two weeks after a confirmed coronavirus case.
The whole year group were asked to self-isolate after the confirmed case, with remote learning beginning immediately.
The year group, along with four staff members also isolating, will return on October 2.
Milestone Academy
All Phase 3 pupils attending this special needs school in Dartford have been told to self-isolate after a staff member tested positive for coronavirus.
Milestone Academy, which teaches students aged 2-19 with special educational needs, informed parents that the affected children, in year groups 7-11, should not return to school until October 7.
The staff member was solely involved with Phase three pupils on the main site, meaning other year groups and sites are not affected.
Hurst Primary School
Hurst Primary School has also recorded a positive case of Covid-19, but has assured parents it will remain open.
The school wrote to parents on Monday, informing them that a number of children who came into contact with the individual have been told to stay home for 14 days.
Hurst Primary’s letter home read: “We have been advised by Public Health England that there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the school.
“We know that you may find this concerning but are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England.
“The small number of children who have been in direct prolonged contact with the confirmed case will have received an individual letter and will be staying at home for 14 days.
Cleeve Park School
Cleeve Park has also notified parents of a positive Covid-19 case in its Year 7 group.
But in a statement the head teacher assured parents that the school will remain open and asked people not to phone in after the "school switchboard was inundated with calls."
The school has followed track and tracing and contacted everyone who has been in close contact with the individual to self-isolate.
Eglinton Primary School
The Woolwich primary school closed for a day earlier in the week to be sanitised with an 'anti-viral fog' following three confirmed cases amongst staff.
Eglinton Primary School shut its doors on Monday, allowing contractors to conduct a deep clean by spraying a fine mist of disinfectant throughout the premises.
A number of children who have been in direct prolonged contact with the teachers have been sent individual letters instructing them to self-isolate at home for 14 days.
Wilmington Academy
A year ten student at the Dartford school has tested positive for coronavirus.
Wilmington Academy informed parents earlier this week, advising them that all students and staff that may have been in contact with the infected student had been asked to self-isolate for 14 days.
All affected classrooms and communal areas of the mixed secondary have been deep cleaned in line with guidance from Public Health England.
