A children's entertainer described as a "predatory paedophile” who abused girls over a period of three decades has been jailed.

But although 58-year-old Anthony Lewis is now behind bars for multiple counts of rape, police believe there could be more victims and are appealing for anyone with information relating to Lewis' horrific crimes to get in touch.

The police have released a series of images of when Lewis was younger in case it jogs anyone's memories.

Lewis' work as an entertainer in the 1980s, 90s, and 2000s, took him across south and east England, including London, Cambridgeshire, Surrey, Northamptonshire, and Norfolk.

He went by the names of Chaz, Chas, Charlie, and Tony, as well as his own real name.

Norwich Crown Court heard how Lewis would prey on young children by setting up talent show companies as well as befriend the parents of vulnerable children.

His youngest victim was a girl aged just four-years-old.

In court, victims, who have struggled with mental health, and drug and alcohol issues because of Lewis, read out statements. One told Lewis how he had "taken away her innocence and childhood and ability to form relationships with others", while another victim says she struggles to trust anyone and has had nightmares "for as long as she can remember".

Lewis, of Yeomans Court, Meeting Lane, Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, admitted nine counts of rape, 10 indecent assaults and one count of sexual assault committed against girls aged from four and 17 between 1987 and 2007.

He was jailed for a minimum of 11 years.

The investigation had begun in September 2017 when one of Lewis' victims went to the police to report the historic abuse.

Police raided Lewis' home and found devices containing indecent images of children - he was later charged with four offences of making/possessing of indecent images which he pleaded guilty to and was convicted of in May 2018.

But allegation of historic abuse continued and further charges were brought against him.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Verity Holmes, from the Norfolk and Suffolk major investigation team, said: "Lewis was a predatory paedophile who would target children’s talent shows, music festivals, church and charity groups, where he knew children would be present and have opportunity to abuse them.

"Lewis’ offending spanned over three decades and we know his work in entertainment took him across the country.

"Every allegation of child abuse is fully investigated by Norfolk Police, with specialist officers guiding victims through the process. Support and advice is available from a range of agencies we work closely with towards the successful prosecution of offenders.”

Anyone with information about this case should contact their local police force on 101.
