ALL trains between two busy stations were brought to a halt by an incident.
The lines were blocked between Brighton and Haywards Heath with trains unable to move in either direction as emergency services dealt with the incident at about 1.20pm.
Services were able to move again by 1.34pm, but delays remain in the area.
A Southern Railway spokesman said: “Emergency services dealing with an incident between Haywards Heath and Brighton means trains have to run at a reduced speed.
“Train services running between these stations may be cancelled or delayed by up to 15 minutes.
“Disruption is expected until 3pm.”
Rail services between the two stations are now reported to have returned to normal.
