As schools across south east London reopened for education, many were forced to respond to positive coronavirus cases.
This week, schools across the region confirmed cases of Covid-19, which saw each institution take a different approach on how to move forward.
Some schools responded to the setback by only sending specific bubbles home, whilst another delayed their reopening all together.
The following list is based on cases that have been alerted to us and confirmed.
Kemnal Technology College at Sidcup
Kemnal Tech College confirmed a year 10 student had received a positive coronavirus result this week.
In a letter to parents, the college said plans for teaching in “year group bubbles” was done in preparation for the scenario.
All students in year 10 were subsequently told to work from home while the school awaited further guidance from Public Health England.
Red Hill Primary School in Chislehurst
Head teacher at Red Hill Primary School Nicola Crockatt confirmed on Thursday a member of the school community tested positive for Covid-19 the week prior.
“They were asymptomatic and the individual was undertaking routine testing as part of the National Office of Statistics,” Ms Crockatt said.
“The school identified all close contacts of the individual who were asked to isolate for 14 days and were advised to book a test if they began to show symptoms.
“Home education commenced immediately for the children who are now isolating."
London South East Colleges Bromley campus
The Bromley campus confirmed a positive case this week, but are still encouraging students to attend as any staff members affected are in self-isolation.
A spokesperson said: "We can confirm that a member of staff at London South East Colleges’ Bromley campus has tested positive for Covid-19.
"We are working with Public Health England and following all guidance necessary to ensure the College environment is as safe as possible."
Trinity School in Lewisham
The Lewisham school which teaches primary through to secondary, was forced to delay their reopening after a confirmed case.
A statement on their website reads: "Trinity School will delay reopening as planned on Monday September 7, following a confirmed case of Covid-19 at the school in a member of staff."
Adamsrill Primary School Sydenham
Students in Year 4 were urged to stay at home after a case was confirmed.
A letter addressed to parents said: "This letter is to inform you that a person at Adamsrill School has tested positive for Covid-19.
"The only bubble which is affected at this point in time is the Year 4 bubble."
