Nine criminal damage charges have been authorised against a 19-year-old from Northfleet after a number of businesses had their windows smashed in Gravesend.
Wail Hamid is alleged to have damaged windows of eight shops and pub during the early hours of Tuesday, September 8.
The offences are reported to have taken place in New Road, Milton Road, Kempthorne Street and King Street.
A search of the area took place and a 19-year-old man from Northfleet was subsequently arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and taken into custody.
The teenager, of Perry Street, Northfleet, was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 9 September.
At the hearing, he was further remanded in custody and will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday 7 October.
