A BOY was badly injured in a fight involving “a group of youths” at a train station.
Police were called to Crawley Railway Station at 7.35pm on Saturday to deal with the incident.
They arrived to find a 17-year-old had been assaulted and had his phone stolen.
A British Transport Police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to Crawley station following reports of a fight between a group of youths. A 17-year-old was assaulted and had his phone stolen. He was taken to hospital by paramedics, where he received treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.”
The force said that enquiries into this incident are currently ongoing and urged anyone who witnessed the assault to contact them by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 451 of 05/09/20.
