Enquiries are underway to trace and inform the next of kin, and police say road closures may remain in place for some time.
According to traffic sites, police have shut a section of the A20 in Sidcup in both directions, with long queueing traffic due to emergency services incident at A223 (Crittal's Corner).
The road has been closed, despite rumours it had reopenned, and the A224 is also closed heading on to Crittal's Corner, affecting traffic heading out of London.
