Four suspects fled the scene of a 'police incident' today in Plumstead, and one man was taken to hospital.

Police say they were called alongside London Ambulance Services to Coupland Place in Plumstead around 10:15am on Wednesday, September 2 after a disturbance was reported.

Greenwich Council leader Danny Thorpe tweeted out saying that Met Police had made him aware of an ongoing police incident on the Glyndon Estate in Plumstead.

The public were asked to avoid the area in south east London to allow emergency services to respond.

A Met Police spokesperson said that four suspects fled the scene was police and LAS arrived.

"A man told police he had been assaulted and he was taken to hospital.

"His injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

"No arrests were made. Enquiries are ongoing."
