A 17-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a teenage girl was stabbed in Bexleyheath Broadway last week.
The female victim, also 17, was taken to hospital with stab injuries, but her condition has been assessed as non-life threatening.
The incident took place in Market Place in Bexley town centre on Wednesday, August 26.
Police were called around 8:50pm, quickly arrested two males, and cordoned off the surrounding area including Bexley Bus Station, McDonalds and other nearby shops.
The Met Police have revealed that a male youth has now been charged over the incident.
The 17-year-old has been accused of attempted murder and threatening a person with a bladed article.
A second youth was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, and he has been released under investigation in connection with the incident, while a third youth suspect is still being sought.
Anyone with information should ring police on 101, quoting CAD7314/26Aug.
