A man has been found dead after emergency services were called to Dartford station on Wednesday night.

A male passenger was found unresponsive and sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Kent Police officers and paramedics were called to Dartford station around 8:55pm on August 26, responding to concerns for the welfare of a male passenger.

Southeastern alerted passengers that emergency services were at the station at around 9pm, and warned that services through the station might be delayed.

Platform 3 was then closed whilst paramedics attended the incident, not reopening again until 10:30pm.

British Transport Police confirmed that a man had declared dead at the scene.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "BTP officers were called to Dartford station last night at 8.54pm following concerns for the welfare of a male passenger.

"Officers and paramedics attended and found the man to be unresponsive. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."

The death is not being treated as suspicious, and officers are now working to identify the man and inform his family.
