A number of fire crews have rushed to the scene of what appears to be a major fire at the rubbish tip in Crayford.
An explosion was heard to have rocked the Thames Road recycling centre around 10pm on Wednesday night, August 12, and a large fire has been captured at the site.
It is not currently clear if anyone is hurt, or how the blaze started. Updates will follow.
Local residents have reported hearing a number of police cars nearby, and several of fire engines are at the scene.
Others have reported smoke drifting up, and residential properties are advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
If anyone has any photos or reports from the scene, please email in at jamie.bennett-ness@newsquest.co.uk
