RESCUERS were called out after two people became 'stuck on a cliff face' in the Lake District.
The two walkers were situated close to the abseil point on Broad Stand, a series of rock steps and slabs that links Scafell and Scafell Pike.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team (WMRT) was called out to the incident at around 1.20pm on Friday.
A WMRT spokesman said team members 'quickly secured and made safe' the walkers before lowering them to a second party of WMRT team members at the bottom of Broad Stand.
The walkers were then escorted off the mountain.
