A cyclist is in a critical condition after falling from his bicycle in Chislehurst, suffering a head injury.
Police were called to reports of a collision at Station Approach, Chislehurst, at 10.26pm yesterday.
A 44-year-old cyclist was rushed to a south London hospital in a critical condition by ambulance services.
At this stage no other vehicles are thought to have been involved, police said.
Road closures and cordons put in place were lifted at 3.15am this morning.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 10.17pm yesterday to reports of a man unconscious after a collision involving a bicycle near Chislehurst Station.
“We dispatched two incident response officers, an ambulance crew and a medic in a fast response car.”
“We treated a man at the scene for head injuries and took him to a major trauma centre.”
