Eating out is set to become a little cheaper from next Monday thanks to the new Eat Out to Help Out scheme, and the Government has now released a list of every restaurants taking part.

During the long months of lockdown, people in south east London have been looking forward to the return of pubs and restaurants, and now customers are being encouraged to make them busy again.

The scheme is only available in August, and allows customers to enjoy 50 per cent off food and non-alcoholic drinks, capped at a total of £10 per person.

The discount only applies on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and to spend it you have to eat in at a reopened café, restaurant or pub – something many of us still don’t feel comfortable doing.

The discount will be applied automatically at participating restaurants only, which is anywhere that applied to use the scheme after it was announced.
