A man has been charged with "making threats to kill" residents in South Norwood, as well grievous bodily harm against police officers and racially aggravated public order offences.
Two police officers were injured in an incident metres away from Crystal Palace's Selhurst Park in Croydon, on July 21, after a man was reported as making threats to residents inside the address.
Alec Lemard, 36, of Douglas Road in Preston, has now been charged with a number of offences, and will appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court later this week.
Lemard has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm, actual bodily harm and making threats to kill, as well as two public order and one racially aggravated public order offences.
These relate to the incident on Clifton Road on July 21, when police were called to an address where a man was making threats residents inside.
During their time at the scene of the incident, two police officers were injured and required hospital treatment, Met Police said.
