A man from Welling is among five men to be charged by the Met Police after £5.1 million in cash was seized at an address in south London.
Aleksands Krasijevs, 55, of Darenth Road, Welling, Kent, was arrested in June alongside Ruslan Shamsutdinov, 35 and from Hackney, and has been charged on Saturday, 6 June with conspiracy to conceal/disguise/convert/transfer/remove criminal property.
Three more people also been charged with the same offence, with Sergejs Auzins, of Windward Road, Rochester, the latest to be arrested and charged.
The 46-year-old from Kent appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 16 July and has been remanded to appear in custody at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, 14 August.
The charges come after a proactive police operation by Specialist Crime officers.
The Met say £5.1 million in cash was seized in the operation after a raid at an address in Fulham.
Also charged with conspiracy to conceal/disguise/convert/transfer/remove criminal property are Serwan Ahmadi, 34, of Pycroft Way, Edmonton and Ali Eshaghian, 39, of Wilkinson Close, Cricklewood, Brent.
