THIS video shows a Bolton estate swarming with police - just days after a drugs raid on a property.

The footage was captured by a motorcyclist’s helmet camera on Sunday night in Hall i' th' Wood.

At least nine police vehicles drove up Pimlott Road, along Pixmore Avenue, then back down Green Way at around 10.20pm.

John Westhead, who captured the footage, said: "All I saw at first after coming off Pixmore Avenue to Pimlott Road was what I thought was one police van so I thought there was just an isolated incident so I was able to get though to carry on with the journey.

"After passing the van I was astonished to see eight more police vehicles in formation so I had to stop and let them all pass due to the narrow speed bump.

The Bolton News:

"After carrying on and observing crowds of residents outside their homes, I reached the junction of Green Way I saw the same fleet of vehicles coming down Green Way to the junction of Crompton Way.

"I had no idea what had happened - my guess is that the police were observing the area possibly connected to the drugs raid."

It came just two days after a huge cannabis farm was raided on Pimlott Road.

Police found dozens of plants at the property.

The electricity had also been bypassed, 'putting other residents at risk of fire,' police said.

The Bolton News:

Officers also discovered heat lamps and wall coverings.

A 32-year-old and a 36-year-old were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and were taken into custody.

Witnesses said the police convoy on Sunday brought half of the estate to a standstill crowding on the street.
