BOOKS of condolence for Dame Vera Lynn will be opened across Sussex for people to pay their respects.
The Forces’ Sweetheart’s funeral today will be marked with a Spitfire flypast in her home village of Ditchling at noon.
Books of condolence for the public to sign will be opened at Bowley Funeral Service in Keymer Road, Hassocks; P and S Gallagher in Sussex Road, Haywards Heath, and Lower Church Road, Burgess Hill; and Bowley and Gallagher in Preston Road, Brighton.
The books will then be given to Dame Vera’s family.
