Jeremy Corbyn's conspiracy theorist brother is staging a protest against the 'new normal' in Lewisham, claiming coronavirus is a hoax linked to 5G masts.

Piers Corbyn faced charges last month for his part in a similar May demonstrations at Speakers Corner, Hyde Park, involving 50 people which breached lockdown rules.

The 73-year-old announced plans for a 12pm 'Stop New Normal' rally at Lewisham Clocktower on July 11, in opposition to the lockdown, vaccinations and 5G.

The former Labour leader's brother tweeted: "In Autumn they'll up 5G/4G and many will get Covid symptoms - it's the same!

"Then they declare a new plandemic and lockdown. Take down all telecommy politicians!"

Mr Corbyn, a climate change denier who set up weather forecasting business Weather Action, told a court he will cite his human rights when he goes on trial for protesting about lockdown restrictions.

He denied two counts of contravening coronavirus rules to attend protests at London’s Hyde Park on May 16 and 30.

News Shopper:

Corbyn, from Southwark, acknowledges he was at the mass gatherings, but said he was exercising freedom of expression and his right to protest.

He will go on trial on October 23.
