Sutton Council has announced its plans to reopen select cultural and leisure facilities across the borough.
Plans include reopening dates for outdoor playgrounds and gyms which will see a return on July 4.
Selected libraries will see a phased return with 'select and collect' services and an introduction to one-way queuing systems and changes to opening hours.
Heritage sites will not see a return until the end of July with pre-booking services being put in place.
A spokesperson for Sutton Council said: "As the restrictions lift, the Council will re-open services as soon as we are able to, with the safety of our staff and the public as our top priority at all times.
"We know that our libraries, heritage houses, leisure centres, outdoor gyms and children’s playgrounds offer important opportunities for relaxing, learning, studying, exercising and spending time in our excellent parks.
"We thank you for your patience and cooperation during this lockdown period, when we have had to make changes to control the spread of coronavirus."
Here is what else you can expect from the phased reopening:
Libraries
-Sutton Central Library will offer a 'select and collect' service and limited IT facilities from July 6.
-Circle, Wallington and Worcester Park Libraries on July 7.
Reopening for Cheam, Sutton Life Centre, Westcroft and Phoenix Libraries will be reviewed constantly in line with how Sutton Council are able to manage services and ensure staff and customers can remain protected and safe.
Heritage houses and archives
- Whitehall Historic House and Honeywood Museum will be open for pre-booked visits from July 23, between 10am and 4pm.
- The reopening of the Archive search room and all archive retrievals remain on hold until further notice.
Outdoor gyms and playgrounds
Outdoor gym and playground facilities will reopen from July 4.
Special guidance on how to use the equipment safely and how to ensure social distancing will be displayed in parks.
Leisure centres
-Leisure centres; Cheam, David Weir, Phoenix and Westcroft remain closed at the time of publishing.
Sutton Council plan to work alongside their leisure management company, Sports Leisure Management to reopen the centres as safely as possible.
