Six men were arrested after armed officers were called to a group of males fighting with knives in Woolwich.
Police, along with ambulance services, were called to the scene near Duke of Wellington Avenue at around 3.45pm yesterday.
One man aged in his 20s, found suffering a knife injury to the arm, was rushed to hospital where he remains, while a second, also aged in his 20s, suffered minor injuries.
A total of six people were arrested on suspicion of GBH and remain in custody.
Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing.
A section 60 has been put in place for the areas of Woolwich Common and Riverside, Charlton, Glyndon and Peninsula until 07:00hrs on Sunday, 28 June.
