A man was rushed to hospital after reportedly being attacked with a hammer by a group on bicycles in Orpington.
Police were called to Sevenoaks way shortly after 3.10pm yesterday, to reports of a man injured.
Officers found a man in his 20s suffering a head injury. He was treated by officers before paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) arrived.
It was reported the man had been assaulted by a group of males on bicycles, one believed to be armed with a hammer, and a bag had been stolen from him.
The man was taken to hospital, where his condition has been assessed as non life-threatening.
There have been no arrests, as enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 3:09pm today (26 June) to reports of an incident on Cray Avenue, Orpington.
"We dispatched an ambulance crew, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance trauma team.
"We treated a man at the scene and took him to hospital."
