Detectives have launched an investigation after a 41-year-old died after being  attacked in Crayford.

Police were called by ambulance services to find a man unresponsive at The Parade, at around 4.18 pm on June 19.

He was rushed to hospital by London's Air Ambulance in a critical condition- he was pronounced dead on the afternoon of June 20.

A 42-year-old man was arrested for suspicion of murder on June 20. 

He has since been released with no further action. 

The victims family were present and are being supported by specialist officers.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

A spokesperson for Met Police said: "Homicide detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating.

"Enquiries into the circumstances continue."
