Locals are being urged to stay away from North Cray Road this morning as 40 firefighters have rushed to the scene of a large farm fire.
Four horse trailers, a stack of baled hay and wood chippings were ablaze at the farm, but thankfully there have been no injuries.
Six fire engines were the farm on North Cray Road in Bexley at 7:10am June 17, with fire crews from Bexley, Sidcup, Erith, East Greenwich and Eltham tackling the blaze.
At the scene, Group Commander Clinton Walsh said: "Road closures are in place whilst crews work to make the scene safe, so we urge locals to avoid the area.
"Thankfully, there were no injuries and no animals were hurt."
London Fire Brigade said the fire was under control by 8:47am, but crews have remained on scene to dampen down seated pockets of fire throughout the morning.
The cause of fire is under investigation.
