A person had died after being hit by a train near Bromley South Station, the second person to die on the train line in a matter of hours.
The incident happened on Friday evening, shortly before 5pm, with emergency services rushing to the scene.
Southeastern tweeted out that sadly, a person had been hit by a train between Kent House and Bromley South.
Police and Paramedics were called shortly before 5pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks, and sadly the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Train services were heavily delayed as response staff dealt with the incident and made the train safe to move out of the station.
After 6pm, the rail company tweeted: "Services from London Victoria to #BromleySouth are currently disrupted due to emergency services dealing with an incident on the line where a person has sadly been hit by a train."
Passengers were allowed to use their tickets on London buses between Bromley South and London Victoria to help complete their journey.
The disruption was cleared by 7:40pm.
Officers are now working to identify the person and inform their family, and say the death is being treated as non-suspicious.
This was the second fatal incident inside a few hours in south east London on Friday, after a separate person died after being hit by a train at Belverdere Station today.
