Two men have been charged after a Dartford home was allegedly burgled for headphones, wallets and a purse.

The items were taken overnight from a property on Havelock Road on May 2020.

Shortly after the offence took place, one of the victim’s bank cards was unsuccessfully used during a transaction at a food outlet in Rainham, Essex.

Jamie Barnes, 33, of Dover Close, Romford, and Aaron Sheehan, 21, of Colchester Road, Walthamstow, were both arrested on suspicion of the offence on 9 June and have since been charged with burglary and fraud by false representation.

Sheehan appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on June 10 and has been remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be determined.

Barnes has been bailed to attend Medway Magistrates’ Court on August 11.
