Greenwich Market is to reopen for the first time in lockdown tomorrow (June 11), socially distanced and offering takeaway food.

The iconic market has announced it is welcoming people back to its stalls through a street food takeaway service open from Thursday.

Announcing the news in a tweet, Greenwich Market said there was now a spacious new layout and a free bike park as part of the set up.

Socially distancing barriers have installed around the surrounding pavement, and a one-way system has been installed.

The market will open from 10am until 4:30pm, Thursday to Sunday, with hot and cold food available for takeaway.
