The search for a Kent man last seen in Gravesend has been called off after a body was found earlier today (June 7).
Kent Police previously launched an information appeal for Gary Stapley, missing from High Halstow, near Rochester.
They said he was known to have been in Gravesend on June 3, the last place he was reportedly seen.
On Sunday, a spokesperson confirmed that the search for Gary had been called off after a body was found, and that his family had been informed.
"Please be aware that Kent Police is no longer appealing for information to locate a missing man from High Halstow, near Rochester, following the discovery of a body earlier today.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
"Formal identity has not yet taken place however the family of Gary Stapley, who is 46 and was last known to have been in Gravesend on 3 June, have been made aware," the Kent Police statement read.
