POLICE officers and paramedics had to help beach revellers suffering with sunstroke and others struggling after drinking too much, it has been reported.
Yesterday the seafront in Brighton and Hove was packed, as residents headed outside to enjoy the hot weather.
Groups gathered on beaches and at Hove Lawns and Brunswick Lawns to have picnics and bask in the sunshine.
Paramedics and police were seen helping people up the seafront slopes and passers-by said some had needed help due to sunstroke or being too drunk to walk.
The beaches are expected to be busy again today, as temperatures hit 23 degrees.
Sussex Police have been contacted for more information.
