A suspected shoplifter who allegedly threatened to infect a Gravesend supermarket worker by coughing at her has been charged.
It was reported that on April 13 a member of staff at the Co-op store in Perry Street challenged a woman amid suspicions she was trying to steal a number of items.
The suspect is said to have warned the victim she had coronavirus and would cough at him if he approached her. It is alleged she then left the store without paying for the items.
Erica Horvathova, aged 31, of Milroy Avenue, Northfleet was arrested on May 21 and later charged with assault and theft.
She is bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on June 23.
