Four people were rushed to hospital on Sunday, after their car collided with a tree in Erith.

Police were called to a late night road traffic collision on Sunday night, May 10, at around 8pm on Avenue Road near the junction with Victoria Road in Erith.

A black Vauxhall Astra crashed into a tree, injuring all four passengers. Met Police officers, the London Fire Brigade, London's Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

Four males, aged 16, 17, 18 and 18 were rushed to hospital, where they currently remain.

Local residents managed to snap photos of the scene after the incident.

Police are now appealing for information following the crash, although at this stage officers do not believe any other was vehicle was involved.

Detectives from the Met's Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.

According to the Met, none of the injured at believed to be in a life-threatening condition.
