Police have charged three men and a 14-year-old with a number of offences, including causing grievous bodily harm and attempted murder, after a string of dawn raids in Greenwich Wood on Wednesday.

Explosions and gunshots were heard in Abbey Wood in the early hours of April 8 as police carried out a number of raids and executed a total of eight arrest warrants.

The raids were the culmination of a long-running Met operatino investigating the attempted murder of 33-year-old man in Throwley Close in December. last year.

Police were also investigating reports of violent offending and firearm offences in the local area over the last six months.

Four males were arrested in the raids, and all were due to appear at Bromley Magistrates Court today, April 9.

James Grant, 55 and Freddie Grant, 22 have both been charged with attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Patrick Carey, 22 and a 14-year-old boy have also been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The 14-year-old was also charged with being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.
