A second person has been charged with the fatal stabbing of a teenager near Woolwich Common.

The 17-year-old was charged with the murder of Cameron Murfitt, who died from a stab wound to his thigh on Academy Road earlier this month.

He appears at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Monday, March 30.

Mario Gruda, 22, from the SE9 area, was charged on Thursday and scheduled to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today (March 28).

It was previously reported that Cameron had been cycling along the road, when he was involved in a crash with a white car.

A suspect was then said to have climbed out the car and stabbed him.

An 18-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday, March 16 has been bailed to return on a date in mid-April.
