A man has denied attempted murder after two police officers were allegedly struck by a car in Penge.

Harry Mackenney, 31, was charged after an incident in which the officers were injured as they attempted to stop a motorist in Penge on February 22.

At the Old Bailey on Monday, the defendant of Parnham Close, Bickley, denied attempted murder, grievous bodily harm and false imprisonment, a court official confirmed.

Judge Andrew Lees QC granted the defendant bail ahead of a trial date that has yet to be fixed.
