The number of Government-confirmed coronavirus cases in south east London has jumped up to 38 as of Sunday.

The latest Covid-19 statistics released by the Government and Public Health England state that as of 9am on March 15, there are now 407 total cases in London.

In Greenwich alone, there are now 13 confirmed cases, a signifcant rise after the first case was only announced on Monday - a patient at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

The statistics represent a nationwide daily increase in cases, with 1,391 in total in the UK, and 35 confirmed deaths.

This is not unexpected as the Government currently has country in the delay phase, but the number of undiagnosed sufferers likely means the number of cases is far higher.
