A 69-year-old Hextable cancer patient put her treatment on hold to take her dog to a competition, where he ended up winning the ‘Best in Breed’.
Rosie Peacock, of Hextable near Swanley, attended the international canine event ‘Crufts’ with her beloved dog, Trev.
The 63-year-old was left ‘gobsmacked’ when her three-year-old Swedish Vallhund came out on top after battling it out against 40 other dogs in his category.
Speaking to News Shopper Rosie Peacock said:
“I am absolutely gobsmacked.
“I should of had radiotherapy for my breast cancer, but I postponed it to attend, so this is a very emotional day for me.
“Trev is typical of his breed, he’s clever with a brain that needs occupying beyond the show ring.
“He’s such a nice dog, a real mummy’s boy."
