A man in his 30’s has been arrested after being spotted with a knife nearby Crystal Palace Park earlier today.
Police were called to reports of a man with a knife in Thicket Road, Penge around 12.40 pm, this afternoon.
The suspect was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and has been taken into custody.
A statement posted online by Met Police Bromley said:
"Officers arrested a man in Thicket Road, Penge after they were called at around 12.40 pm to a man with a knife in nearby Crystal Palace park.
“The man, in his 30s, was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and has been taken into custody.
“There are no reports of any injury.”
