A Welling school has confirmed it will remain open, despite concerns that two parents have reportedly been told to self-isolate as a precaution against coronavirus.
Parents had questioned if Welling School's response to the reported self-isolation was strong enough.
But the school, off Elsa Road, defended its approach to the situation and stated it had acted fully in accordance with Public Health England advice, emphasising that there had been no confirmed cases of the virus among parents, pupils, or staff.
One parent who contacted News Shopper, but asked to remain anonymous, said: “I am worried that the virus could spread to my kids and other students in school.
“If parents have been in isolation, what is to say that their child is 100 per cent not at risk of spreading it?"
A spokesperson for Welling School responded: "We continue to follow the advice of the Department for Education, Public Health England and the Trust's Health and Safety Officer.
“We have not been informed of any confirmed cases of the coronavirus Covid-19 from our students, staff or parents.
“Therefore, based on the current guidance we remain open, but vigilant, as normal.
“We are keeping parents informed via the school website and would encourage any parent to follow the published advice."
