Customers of Sainsbury's Bexleyheath generously donated a whopping £869.28 in just one day over the Christmas period.
The donations went directly to helping the homeless through Bexley Winter Shelter.
Bexley Winter Shelter is a Christian based charity that aims to provide warmth, nourishment and compassion to homeless men during the coldest months of the year.
The charity, which is run by volunteers, relies on churches and other organisations in Bexley to help provide temporary accommodation for the homeless.
Serena Ferris, Customer and Trading Manager of Sainsbury’s Bexleyheath said: “The money raised will be a great help to the Bexley Winter Shelter and serve the community."
