Ebbsfleet Garden City is set for an additional 221 homes.
135 apartments and 86 houses were approved by Ebbsfleet Development Corporation’s planning committee.
The site will include a play park, electrical charging points and new pedestrian and cycle routes.
The scheme will also be eco friendly with plans to provide solar panels across most homes.
Mark Pullin, Chief Planning Officer with Ebbsfleet Development Corporation, said:
“Bellway has worked very closely with us to achieve what we believe is a good quality scheme fitting of a 21st Century Garden City.
“As well as going beyond planning requirements as it looks towards a more sustainable future.”
There are now 2,000 homes completed in Ebbsfleet Garden City with nearly 5,000 residents.
Two new Primary schools are planned to open this September.
Plans for a secondary school and primary school campus have been submitted.
