Firefighters are at the scene of a house on fire on Woolacombe Road in Kidbrooke this afternoon, March 9.

The whole roof is reportedly ablaze, as well as part of the first floor, and a woman has been treated by smoke inhalation.

Four fire engine crews and around 25 firefighters from East Greenwich and Lee Green were called to a semi-detached house on Woolacombe Roadat around 3:40pm.

The fire completely destroyed the roof and damaged most of the first floor, and wasn't under control until 6pm.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, and is under investigation.
