A 33-year-old man has been charged with robbery in connection with the knifepoint robbery of a puppy in Orpington.
Spot the British bulldog, who is just weeks old, was out with a walk with his owner when a two men jumped out of a car and stole the pup.
Francis Zeta, 33, was arrested on Thursday, charged with the robbery on Friday evening and will now appear at Bromley Magistrates Court today, Saturday March 7.
It is alleged that Zeta was involved in the snatching of the Spot at Lullingstone Crescent, Orpington, on March 5.
In an earlier appeal, the Met said two men had jumped out of a white Mercedes CLA Sport.
The driver produced a knife and threatened the victim - a man in his early thirties - before stealing the puppy and fleeing in the car, the force said.
As a result of inquiries by detectives from the South Command Unit, on Thursday, March 5, officers from Central East Command and the TSG, executed a warrant in Newham.
Spot was later found wandering in the street and has now been returned to his owners.
