A group of thieves snatched electronic goods worth thousands of pounds from the display area of an Orpington store in broad daylight.

Footage taken by a customer shows three men ripping out iPads, laptops and phones in Currys PC World on Wednesday morning.

Noticing that he is being filmed, one member of the group says "give me that phone or I'll f*****g kill you", as bemused members of the public look on.

The men, who appear to be in their 20s, make no attempt to cover their faces, casually filling their arms with as many goods as they can carry.

A member of staff can be seen in the background, watching the theft taking place as alarms ring out.

A Currys PC World spokesperson said: "We experienced a robbery on Wednesday 26 February at our Orpington Currys PC World store.

"The safety of our colleagues and customers is of paramount importance and we’re thankful no-one was injured.

"The store is open to customers as normal. We’re working with police to support their investigations."

A spokesperson for the police added: "Police were called shortly after 10am on Wednesday, February 26, to reports of a theft from commercial premises on Sevenoaks Way in Orpington.

"Officers attended and were informed that three suspects had stolen mobile telephones and electrical equipment.

"There have been no arrests and enquiries continue."
