A yellow weather warning has been issued for London, with a cold snap expected overnight, into Wednesday morning.
The Met Office have predicted icy conditions will take hold from midnight until around 10am.
The warning says: "A mix of rain and hail showers, with some snow over higher ground, is likely to leave surfaces wet overnight.
"Surface temperatures are then expected to fall below freezing with icy stretches forming in places."
The temperature in London is predicted to hover around 6C most of today, while the South East experiences slightly warmer temperatures.
Yellow weather warnings are already in place for Northern Ireland, Scotland and the central part of northern England.
