Three men have been arrested at Slade Green station following a disruption operation run by the Met and transport police last night.

Bexley police officers, in conjunction with British Transport Police, were deployed at Sade Green station last night (February 18) under Operation Avara, arresting three adult males.

One male in his 20s was recognised as soon as the officers arrived as someone who was wanted for being recalled to prison following a licence breach.

A second adult male was arrested for possession of a pointed blade in public following a stop and search.

A third adult male was arrested after being found to be wanted at Bromley Magistrates Court for breaching a community sentence.

All three males are currently in custody.

The Met has run numerous disruption operations in recent months, hitting Lewisham, North Greenwich, Maze Hill, Plumstead and Sidcup stations.

Run in conjunction with the BTP and train operators, officers have been seen setting weapon arches and enforcing stop and searches, with each operation resulting in multiple arrests.
