Two arrests have been made during the first 24 hours of a two day dispersal order.
The order comes under section 34/35 of the anti social behaviour and policing act 2014 and covers the entire wards of Bromley Town and Shortlands.
A spokesman for the Met Police said: "This order was put in place for 48 hours in the area in and around Bromley town centre following reports from the public of being harassed alarmed and distressed by disorderly behaviour and reports of robberies in the town centre.

"Authorisation was necessary to remove or reduce the likelihood of this behaviour.
Since the dispersal zone was put in place two arrests have been made in the area
One of them was for robbery and the other was for possession of an offensive weapon.

The Met added: "We recognise the impact anti-social behaviour can have on individuals and communities.
"We will be targeting people we suspect of being involved in this type of behaviour people going about their legitimate daily business have nothing to fear the dispersal zone gives us the powers we need to deal effectively with people and I would urge anyone in the area with any information on anti social or criminal activity in their area to contact 101 or crime stoppers anonymously on 0800555111."
