A Crayford mother of four who arranged for her ex-husband and lover to fight to the death for her affections has been jailed.

Giedrius Juskauskas, 42, was stabbed to death in a Newham alleyway last June.

His ex-wife Asta Juskauskiene, 35, of Iron Mill Lane, Crayford, was sentenced to 24 years for murder, and two years for perverting the court of justice, to run concurrently, when she appeared in the Old Bailey on Friday, Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

Her partner Mantas Kvedaras, 25, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to 22 years in prison.

The court heard police were called to Whalebone Lane, Newham, on June 17 where they found Mr Juskauskas lying on the ground and bleeding from the neck. He died at the scene, with a post-mortem examination showing at least 35 stab wounds to his body, chest and neck.

Mr Juskauskas had been living in London for some 10 years. Police told the court he had been continuing a physical relationship with Juskauskiene, despite the couple having divorced in December 2018.

Police said the attacker was later identified as Kvedaras, who had come to the UK five days before the murder to stay with Juskauskiene, after they had begun a relationship on social media while he was in prison for the sexual assault of a teenager.

The couple were arrested two days after the attack and charged with murder the following day.

Kvedaras pleaded guilty to Mr Juskauskas's murder at the Old Bailey on Thursday October 17.

Juskauskiene was found guilty of murder and perverting the course of justice on January 9 at Kingston Crown Court.
