Residents and owners or washing machines designed by Whirlpool may have to check to see if their model has been recalled after Whirlpool confirmed some machines are still prone to a fire safety risk.
Model numbers that have been recalled include:
WMFG 741 G UK
WMAQG 741 P UK
WMAQC 641 P UK
A spokesperson for Whirlpool said: "We want to send our sincere apologies to our customers for the additional concern caused, and to thank them for taking this important safety precaution.
"People’s safety is Whirlpool’s priority, which is why we are proactively recalling certain models of washing machines manufactured under the Hotpoint and Indesit brands between 2014 and 2018."
Whirlpool is also requesting that owners of these three additional models check if their appliance is affected, even if they have previously done so.
Resident's that may have had to recall their washing machine's can either receive:
A comparable replacement washing machine provided free-of-charge
A free-of-charge in-home repair of your appliance
