Police were called to reports of a person stealing from parked cars on a road in Greenhithe yesterday.
Officers were called at around 2.43 am to Eynsford Road, Greenhithe, on February 3.
In response, officers conducted a thorough search of the area and arrested a teenager on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and possessing a bladed article.
A statement from Kent Police said:
"Kent Police was called at 2.43am on Monday 3 February 2020 to a report a person had been seen stealing from parked cars in the Eynsford Road area of Greenhithe.
"Officers attended and, following a search of the area, a teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and possessing a bladed article."
The suspect is currently in custody.
